We offer multi-level treatment programs that provide medical, psychological, spiritual and dietetic care for for male and female children, adolescents and adults.
The Extended Day Program is EDCASA's highest level of care. Extended Day Treatment is appropriate for persons seeking to recover from an Eating Disorder while remaining near their family. Specifically, this means persons needing to recover their weight loss and/or stop the restrict/binge or binge/purge cycle who are medically stable, who do not require 24 hour monitoring and who are willng to participate in recovery. The Extended Day Treatment Program is 11 hours daily and includes group therapy, individual and/or family therapy, nutritional counseling, and therapeutic meals. Adults and adolescents needing Day Treatment attend from 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
The Day Treatment Program is EDCASA's next highest level of care. Day Treatment is appropriate for persons seeking to recover from an Eating Disorder while remaining near their family. Specifically, this means persons needing to recover their weight loss and/or stop the binge/purge cycle. It is also appropriate for persons who have completed in-patient or residential care and seek support to complete their recovery process in their home environment. It is 6 hours daily and includes group therapy, individual and/or family therapy, nutritional counseling, and therapeutic meals. Adults needing Day Treatment attend from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. Adolescents needing Day Treatment attend from Noon - 7 p.m.
The Intensive Outpatient Program provides group therapy, individual and/or family counseling, nutritional counseling, and therapeutic meals. It is appropriate for those clients who are stable in their work or school environment yet need focused work to move forward in recovery from an Eating Disorder.
The Intensive Outpatient Program is 4 hours a day for both Adults and Adolescents. Adults attend from 9 a.m. - 1p.m. with the program available Monday - Friday. Adolescents may attend from 3 p.m. - 7p.m., Monday-Thursday and 3 - 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The EDCASA Treatment Team in collaboration with referring professionals will make recommendations to a client regarding the number of program days appropriate for him/her at the time of admission. As a client progresses in the program, more or fewer days may be needed based on progress towards goals. The Treatment Team will discuss and provide recommendations weekly.
